Part II Architectural Assistant – Colchester / £22,000-£26,000

A Part 2 Architectural Assistant is required for a RIBA Chartered Architecture practice steeped in tradition based on the outskirts of Colchester. Due to the influx of new projects the practice is now looking to take on a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. You will be working for an award-winning practice which will provide you with invaluable experience to take with you throughout the rest of your career.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an architectural practice that has been in operation since 1948. Since then, the company has experienced steady growth and has developed a real reputation for flair and enthusiasm. The practice now employs 21 staff focusing on friendly work environment that both encourages creativity as well as professionalism. They are known for providing services within a number of different sectors including residential, education, retail, offices and commercial.

This role benefits from a competitive salary, flexible working hours with 28 days holiday and an extra 3 days holiday to be taken over Christmas.

As a Pat 2 Architectural Assistant, some experience using Revit, Microstation, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite as well as knowledge of UK Building Regulations would be ideal. They are looking for someone who has a clear enthusiasm and passion for architecture and who can bring strong design skills to the practice.

The role of the Part 2 Architectural Assistant will involve:

  • Produce detailed drawings and work on projects across all RIBA stages.

  • Prepare layouts, drawings, and sketches

  • Use a variety of design software including; AutoCAD, Revit and Sketchup

  • Work within a busy technical team

To Be Considered for this Part 2 Architectural Assistant position:

  • You will have a passion for design

  • Able to work within a team and independently on your own when needed

  • Produce drawing packages – high-level of detail, on time and accurate

  • An understanding of planning and UK Building Regulations

  • Ability to use Revit would be advantageous

This is a full-time permanent position with a salary ranging from £22,000-£26,000 depending on previous experience.
